Organizing People. Building Power. Creating Change.

Community Action Alliance builds power with Black, immigrant, and underserved communities through organizing, civic engagement, and leadership development to improve lives and meet community needs.

What We Do

Community Action Alliance advances community priorities through community organizing, policy advocacy, and leadership development. We build grassroots power year-round to create meaningful change at the local and state level.

We advocate for policies and systems that address the root causes of inequity and create safer, more stable, and thriving communities.

Our Priorities

Our Advocacy Priorities Include:

  • Gun Violence Prevention

  • Housing Stability and Affordability

  • Workforce Development and Economic Stability

  • Fair and Just Immigration policies

Who We Serve

CAA centers Black and immigrant communities across Maine, with a strong focus on young people under 30. Our work prioritizes those most directly impacted by policy decisions and systemic barriers.
